Waiting for Santa
27 Dec 2008 11 Comments
Here’s some pictures I took of the pugs on Christmas Eve while we waited for Santa to visit.
Mea in her PJs:
“Is it too late to start being good?”
“Or suck up?”
The bum says ‘Waiting for Santa’
I wanted a pair for Giggs too but we couldn’t find his size. Mea’s were tight as it is. It’s funny watching her walk around in them because she won’t bend her knees, which makes her walk like tinman -so cute :)
Giggs’ shirt says ‘I believe in Santa Paws’. I love his neck roll LOL.
Mea wants PRESENTS! -Too bad those ones are for other people.
Giggs watches the fireplace for signs of Santa.
“Are you coming Santa?”
Merry Christmas!

What is Wrong With People?!

I’m sorry but I have to post this link:

Wake up people! Our society is seriously f***ed in the head. Consumerism is so out of control it’s disgusting.
Why is it SO TEDIOUS?!

I apologize to everyone for not updating more often these days. I have cute pictures and funny videos of the pugs to share with you but I am too damn lazy to upload them.
Maybe you can help me?
I switched from Bl*gger to W*rdpress because I like the W*rdpress templates better and I was bored with Bl*gger. Trouble is, since I’ve made the change, I don’t think I’ve posted any videos of the pugs and I find it very tedious and time consuming to upload pictures. Can anyone recommend how to do either without having to fart around so much?!
I detest having to load my pictures to Fl*ckr, resize them using their stupid program just so they’ll fit the blog margins, then having to re-save, blah, blah, blah. It was SO much easier and faster with Bl*gger!
Don’t even get me started on videos!
I’m sorry I’m so lazy but I hate having to take over an hour (tonight, several, and still not getting it done) to write one friggin’ blog post if I want to include pictures or video.
Maybe one of you more tech-savvy people can offer some advice? I’ll even consider switching back to Bl*gger or paying for a blog account if someone can convince me. I’m using a Mac too by the way.
Easier and faster for me to upload and post = more puggy goodness for you!!!!
Catching Up (MMM Cheese!)

Hopefully I can finish posting about everything I want to get to and then posts will become more real-time! I haven’t even got to Halloween yet!
Anyway, while in Vancouver (this was actually before the Madonna concert, so not only am I behind, I’m also out of order!) we got to meet up with Lauren and Steve again! Yay! My one blog friend I’ve met in real life!
We met sans pugs this time but don’t you worry, we still swapped lots of crazy pug stories. They took us out to a golf-themed sushi restaurant! The decor was quite interesting, let me tell you, and we had a great time with the menu. Tony snagged one (it’s just on paper) so I will share the goodness! These are direct quotes from the EVERYDAY SPECIALS menu (yes, so special it’s everyday!):
There is an entire section called: MMM CHEESE
You can order a: Happy Unagi (eel) Roll, Rainball Roll, or some Ooh Tuna!
The menu also had a very important warning: *Large Okonomiaki Served with yakisoba. Warning! We are sorry that you maybe become hungry when you see the sizzling Okonomiyaki with a little bit smoke on hot Teppan plate.
Yay for ESL fun!. Next time I’m there, I’m ordering everything from the MMM CHEESE section!
Oh yeah, Tony also got into an iPhone light-saber fight with some random dude in the restaurant. That’s just how we roll.
Thanks to Lauren and Steve for taking the time to hang out with us. The food was tasty and we had lots of fun :)
Madonna!

I’m way behind in posting because we were in Vancouver last week for four days.
On Thursday night we got to see her Madgesty (heh heh, I stole that from someone but can’t remember who) in her first ever concert in Vancouver! It was at BC Place stadium and there were over 50,000 people there. It was pretty kick ass.
She didn’t have a traditional opening act, instead there was a DJ but he stopped playing around 8:30 and Madonna was supposed to come on at 9:00 but it was closer to 9:30 before she took the stage. So there was an hour of just waiting around, which was lame. Thank goodness for all the uber-fans dressed in their Madonna costumes and 80s gear or we would have had nothing to look at.
Madonna played for about two hours and the performance itself was pretty awesome. The lights, screens, dancers, stage, etc. were amazing and Madonna herself is a sight to behold. I cannot believe she’s fifty! Holy crap that girl can still work it and her body is in insane shape! She has He-Man thighs!
(I snagged this photo off Faceb**k)
Our seats were decent so I could see what was going on on stage as well as a good view of the big screen. Our friend Frans snagged all of our tickets one minute after they went on sale and this was the best he could come up with. It think the entire stadium sold out in less than 20 minutes! We’re obviously hurtin’ for some Madonna here in Canada. LOL
I took some pics and videos but my pics are pretty blurry and my little camera microphone was overwhelmed by the loud music so my videos sound really bad. But here’s some pics before the show started while we killed time:
I have to say my favorite songs were her remixes of Vogue and Like a Prayer. I’m such a sucker for 80s Madonna so I was pleased :)
We had planned to go to an after party at Celebrities (a gay nightclub on Davie St) where there was a drag queen show in Madonna’s honor. Our friend knows one of the organizers and she got us on the list but my stupid throat infection was acting up and I was in serious pain after the concert so we had to pass. I was super bummed because I have a feeling that show would have come close to Madonna herself. Le sigh.
I’l leave you with a video that was played at the concert:
I think we know who she’ll be voting for tomorrow…
Bath Time for the Stuffies

I did a stuffy wash yesterday and a slight ‘thinning of the herd’. Here’s the story in pictures:
Mama, why are all our toys in the laundry basket?
Because it’s bath time for the stuffies!
Hey! Where’d they go?!
Found them!
All clean! Smells good!
