Not Much to Say

Well I’m back at work full time right now so nothing really exciting is going on at the moment. I’m gonna be working a lot more from now on because I now have another rather large monthly payment to deal with. More on that later.

Giggs’ breeder’s partner (if that makes any sense) is coming to look at him tonight or tomorrow to decide if they will show him. I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out. If they decide not to, for whatever reason, I won’t be terribly upset. I WILL be marching his little butt straight to the vet however to get the big snip! He’s learned how to mark and I’m NOT thrilled. We can’t take him anywhere without him peeing on everything!

My weekend was pretty dull. I missed my soccer game on Friday night, we were in bed at 9:30 pm!! I’m talking under the covers, asleep! Party Animals I tell ya!! We’ve both been pretty bagged lately and fighting colds off and on. I think it was much needed. Saturday, we met my parents downtown and we took the dogs for a walk. We even let Giggs run off leash a bit since we knew he’d just follow Jack and Jack listens very well. Then we went out for coffee. On Sunday we went to our friends’ place where they hosted an Oscar party. It was great until the power went out and we missed almost two hours of the show. Chasing a little pug, who tries to mark everything, around a dark apartment is an interesting and not-so-fun challenge.

Bath Pictures!

The pug was licking his legs a lot a few days ago, so we gave him a bath! This is not his first bath with us unfortunately, I did that one by myself and therefore had no one to take pictures. This time I got Tony to take some though.

Giggs is surprisingly good in the tub. I wouldn’t say he loves getting bathed, but he doesn’t freak out and try to escape. (My last dog was a sheltie and man, baths were a nightmare!) After the bath, he runs around like a maniac rubbing on things and tries to attack the blow dryer. It’s pretty entertaining, I’ll get it on video next time.

I tried to keep his head and ears dry but he kept turning into the sprayer stream. Silly, pug! And did he ever shed like crazy after this!! I’m glad I did it the night before I cleaned the house.

Lazy Bum

That pretty much describes me the past two or three weeks. I haven’t been working much other than on some side projects at home. I’m booked to work the next two weeks at the same school I was contracted at before Christmas break and I’m dreading it already. That’s the problem with being lazy, it’s hard to break the cycle. I’m absolutely bagged for a few days while I try to get back into a routine. I’m sure the pug will miss me because he’ll have to sit in Tony’s office while he works all day, instead of playing with me and following me around.

My Valentine’s gift from Tony doesn’t really help my situation either. I want to stay home and play with my new Nintendo Wii!! There is a Zelda game to conquer people! How will I be able to spend hours at work when I need to be at home saving Hyrule!! My talents are so wasted at work! *sigh*

Anywho… Now that I’ve proven what a nerd I am, here are a couple vids of the boys playing last night. And I wonder why the pug attacks my hands when I try to play with him. Hmmmm…

I really, really, really wanted to get a video of Giggs kissing his own reflection to honor the occasion but alas, the narcissistic Casanova would not cooperate for the camera. Perhaps another time. He was doing it on Sunday morning but I was in bed and did not have the camera handy :(

Instead, here are some ACTION SHOTS of Giggs with his BFF (as Winston would say). Giggs’ BFF happens to be a stuffed squeaky beaver. Yes, we make lots of jokes about Giggs and the beaver as you can imagine ;)
