Ice Cream!!!!!!

Winston was concerned that Giggs doesn’t get to come out on the town with us often enough. Don’t worry Winston, Giggs gets attention almost 24/7. If he’s left at home it’s only for a maximum of 3-4 hours. If we’re planning on being gone longer than that, Giggs goes to Dogzies. We try to make sure that he gets out of the house with us every day. We either go for a walk through the neighbourhood bird sanctuary, or downtown by the lake in city park, or out to coffee, or the dog park, or Dogzies. Giggs also comes to Tony’s soccer game every Tuesday night where he gets to play with his buddies Lacey the dalmatian and/or Oscar the pug.

Here’s a couple pictures and a video of our last city park/downtown outing last Thursday when we went to watch uncle Steve play beach volleyball. Then we went and got some ice cream! They give free baby cones so we got one for Giggs.

The trouble where we live is it’s VERY hot during the summer months (we’re a desert climate) and Giggs can only make it out with us early in the morning or after dinner time and sometimes it’s even too hot then. We relish cloudy days at the dog park! There is a dog beach that I think we’ll try out so we can keep him wet and cool. The trouble with that place however, is that it’s very open and Giggs doesn’t listen well enough to be off leash in open areas that aren’t fenced.

My Saturday

Friday was a very long day and it turned out that Saturday was even longer! However, it was all play and no work versus Friday’s all work and no play. I documented most of the day like I was supposed to, but then we went out on the town and I was kinda drunk and drunk Christine + camera = lost or broken camera and therefore sad Christine. So no party pics, sorry. Anyway… here’s everything else:

Giggs woke me up at about 9am-ish.

It was my turn to get up with him
so I let him out and fed him.

When Giggs gets fed we ask him:
“Where’s your manners?”
and he lies down and waits until we say
“ok” before diving in (literally).

I had breakfast:

Then I had to get ready for Erin’s wedding.
Too rushed to take pictures since
we had to be there before 10:30.

It was an early wedding with a
standing reception immediately following
the ceremony so we left around 2ish.

Went home to change and
play with Giggs before going out for a bit.
Picked up some groceries:

We stopped for an early dinner where
I had a chicken pesto panini and salad:

Then back to our favorite place for
coffee and some newspaper reading!

We were home by 6pm because
we had some friends over for drinks.

Here’s where the picture taking kinda ended…

We ended up going to another friend’s place for more bevies and some poker. Then we took a cab to a club downtown. It was a pretty fun night except when we couldn’t get a cab after leaving the club so we had to WALK our asses back to our friend’s place! We did have some good hot dogs though. Mmmmmmmmmmmm! Street meat! I got to bed around 3am Sunday morning.

My Friday Continued…

We went out to run some errands.

We stopped at the soccer store:

Coffee at our favorite place.
(We do this pretty much every day)

Put gas in the car:

Came home at fed Giggs his dinner.

Took Giggs for a walk:

Cleaned all three bathrooms. (Tony vacuumed)

Did some laundry:

Re-wrapped my friend Erin’s wedding gift.
I thought it was out of Giggs‘ reach the
first time I did it.

Had a glass of wine and did my toes for
the wedding tomorrow. Giggs helped.

Got to bed -FINALLY! (1am!)

LONG DAY!

My Friday -Part I

I’ve hopped on board with Shannon’s idea of photo-blogging two days of our lives. So here is my Friday, June 22. This is try number two since blogger wouldn’t show my pics for some reason. I’m going to break the post up into two sections to see if that helps.

Up at 9am, little later than usual.

Giggs saying good morning:

Breakfast:

Cleaned up the kitchen because
I was too lazy to do it last night.

Went to the gym:

Stopped to get some office stuff:

Checked email and read blogs:

Made lunch: soup, cabbage salad,
kiwi, grapes, and mango.

Finally finished cleaning and organizing
the disaster that is our upstairs.
We got a new office suite and had to
switch rooms. Our house was chaos since
Wednesday!

Took a shower:
