Just a quick pop-in to update on the pugs:
Mea is doing well and healing fine. I’m spiking her kibble with some potent vitamin C (ascorbic acid) to help keep any possible infections at bay and her stitches seem to be healing despite her not-so-cooperative behavior. She’s a wild woman that refuses to be tamed, I tell ya!
A quick question to those of you who also just had your little ones recently spayed: Did they regress in the potty-training deptartment after their surgery? I remember that Giggs did out of spite, but that’s just his lovely personality, and he expressed his displeasure with poop prezzies at the door.
Mea is different though, every morning since her spay surgery she has peed in the bedroom first thing in the morning (I learned to put a pee-pad down after the first day). That’s the last four days in a row and she hasn’t done that for a long time! I’m wondering if it has to do with the surgery or the fact that Giggs is gone.
Speaking of the handsome devil… we’ll be picking Giggs up on Sunday evening or Monday sometime. He has been a good boy at my parents’ place but he’s keeping them up at night. He keeps waking up with every little noise and starts growling/low barking. He always does this when Tony’s away overnight so I’m guessing he misses his alpha. Awww! I know I’ve sure missed having him around these past few days.
Anyway, any thoughts or info about the Mea morning pee issue are greatly appreciated.
