Catching Up (MMM Cheese!)

November 5, 2008

Hopefully I can finish posting about everything I want to get to and then posts will become more real-time!  I haven’t even got to Halloween yet!

Anyway, while in Vancouver (this was actually before the Madonna concert, so not only am I behind, I’m also out of order!) we got to meet up with Lauren and Steve again!  Yay!  My one blog friend I’ve met in real life!

We met sans pugs this time but don’t you worry, we still swapped lots of crazy pug stories.  They took us out to a golf-themed sushi restaurant!  The decor was quite interesting, let me tell you, and we had a great time with the menu.  Tony snagged one (it’s just on paper) so I will share the goodness! These are direct quotes from the EVERYDAY SPECIALS menu (yes, so special it’s everyday!):

There is an entire section called: MMM CHEESE

You can order a: Happy Unagi (eel) Roll, Rainball Roll, or some Ooh Tuna!

The menu also had a very important warning: *Large Okonomiaki Served with yakisoba.  Warning!  We are sorry that you maybe become hungry when you see the sizzling Okonomiyaki with a little bit smoke on hot Teppan plate.

Yay for ESL fun!.  Next time I’m there, I’m ordering everything from the MMM CHEESE section!

Oh yeah, Tony also got into an iPhone light-saber fight with some random dude in the restaurant.  That’s just how we roll.

Thanks to Lauren and Steve for taking the time to hang out with us.  The food was tasty and we had lots of fun :)

  1. Haha that restaurant sounds hilarious. And you say it was golf-themed? Did you happen to get any pictures of that?

  2. An “iPhone light-saber fight”? I don’t even know what that is. Sounds fun though. You guys are so hip!

  3. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of the restaurant :(

There’s a lightsaber application you can download for your iPhone and it makes the lightsaber sounds when you move the phone around. He’s a bit of a nerd, I know.

  4. Hey guys,
Thanks for your well wishes. You should be aware that metranidazal is actually a the most effective antibiotic around for stomach problems because it can kill all the major stomach culprits. Winston’r reaction was fairly rare. Currently, he is on his third antibiotic and we still have not fully dealt with his stomach issues. I wouldn’t say to ban it, but if your puggies start acting weird on it be aware that the fix may be as simple as taking them off the metranidazal. Winston, of course, will never have it again.
